I’ve been admiring Marissa Waller’s curated virtual store BeauTeaBar which is filled with “intoxicating beauty” and “non-toxic products”, for the past year. When I started giving more attention to what I put on my skin, I realized there’s a myriad of products to choose from. When I am researching a product I want to try, I turn to websites and stores who place an emphasis on clean, hard-working ingredients and the BeauTeaBar is one of my go-to sites. Marissa’s passion for living a fabulous life is infectious – and she was kind enough to share her wise words which are sure to inspire!

1) What inspired you to follow your calling with natural beauty via BeauTeaBar?
It’s been an interesting road for sure! A degree in psychology, three years of law school (and a bar exam) later and now I run an online shop selling only non-toxic skin care, who would have guessed it? Well, probably every single one of my friends who always knew me as the skin care and makeup obsessed girl that always knew about the newest and best products. I guess I just needed some time to figure it out and now I have never been more excited about the future!

2) How do you re-connect to that original calling on a daily basis?
I am a total inspiration junkie! I love to read things that really fire me up and stretch me in beyond my ordinary routine. One of my favorite authors/speakers is Danielle LaPorte. She has the perfect blend of heart-melting beauty and fired up inspiration that always gets me excited to tackle my next big project.

3) Where do you look for new inspiration?
Everywhere and anywhere I can find it! I love finding little pieces of wisdom and inspiration in my everyday life. I keep my iPhone notebook full of quotes I hear on the radio, TV, magazines, internet articles, blog posts etc. Every few days I go back and read my notes.

4) How can beauty positively impact a woman’s inner bliss and outer radiance?
So often women sacrifice themselves for good of others (be it a friend, lover, child, or family member) but having a beauty or self-care ritual allows women to reconnect to themselves and bring forth true radiance.

Feeling beautiful is one of the most powerful things a woman can do for herself.”
Marissa Waller

5) What does the phrase ‘inner bliss and outer radiance’ mean to you?
To me this means that what you feel on the inside will shine through on your outside. No amount of makeup or skin care in the world can make a woman radiate without first having a sense of inner peace.
